In the spirit of owning our stories and the desire to live life wholeheartedly, I help clients with creating a plan towards living a life of meaning and hope. I believe that meaningful change is rooted at the intersection of some hard work and a lot of heart work - that is the Heart Work way.
Maleeha Hamid BSW, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker
My name is Maleeha and I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW). As a clinical RSW, I am dedicated to cultivating a brave space with you as we work on a plan towards growth and healing. My goal is to try to provide a comfortable therapeutic environment where you can process experiences of heartbreak, breakdowns, and breakthroughs. I believe that you are the author of your own story and parts of it may have difficult and painful points. By sitting with your story and unpacking it with an experienced professional, it is my hope that you will work through your feelings, thoughts, and experiences while reflecting on your narrative in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental way.
This work is close to my heart as it provides me the honour to work with people from diverse cultures, belief systems, and lifestyles. Over the past fifteen years, I have worked with CAS, the school board, mental health agencies, hospitals, non- profit agencies, and now, a family health team in the GTA. I am trained in the following therapeutic modalities:
